Dome and Pyramid Roof Lights
Roof Technology offer two dome roof lights as standard the Trade & the Ultra. Standard sizes range from 600mmX600mm to 1800mmx1800mm with the option of double skin, triple skin or even quad skin, we offer solutions for noise reduction, along with various options for ventilation & opening.
Our Trade dome standard specification unit has been redesigned to Provide excellent insulation, along with contemporary streamline low rise dome profile. Triple skin rooflights achieve a centre pane U-value of 1.8 W/m²K and a Ud-value which ranges from 1.25W/m²K for a 600x600mm dome to 1.51W/m²K for a 1200x2400mm dome. Higher performance glazing options can further reduce the Ud-value to as low as 0.95W/m²K . The unique glazing cassette in triple & quad skin domes minimises the risk of condensation. The tapered kerb feet eleviate the need for a timber kerb or timber fillets.
In addition to the standard dome features, the Ultra also offers a low rise pyramid style, the architecturally inspired Ultra delivers maximum security and high insulation in a sleek, stylish design package. Tamper proof fixings are concealed beneath a modern aluminium security frame and a secret lock system allows domes to be installed and locked securely into place providing the highest possible security level. The stylish aluminium frame is available in a silver anodised finish or indeed can be powder coated to any standard RAL colour.
Sun Pipes
Bringing Natural Light into the home
TSun Pipe natural daylight systems direct sunlight into a room from roof level. The Sun Pipe collects daylight using a patented UV stabilised polycarbonate dome, then uses a mirror-finished aluminium tube to transfer the light, with an opaque or plain opal ceiling diffuser evenly distributing the light around the room. The Sun Pipe system is effective even in overcast conditions or when raining.
Sun Pipes come in three sizes:
230mm Dia (9”) great for shower rooms toilets& bathrooms up to 7.5m2.
300mm Dia (12”) ideal for stairs landings, kitchens living rooms up to 14m2.
450mm (18”) for areas up to 22m2.
Sun Pipes remove the need for structural work to your flat roof, with the pipes’ reflective tube installed between the rafters. The top dome is self-cleaning due to its shape, and the high purity 98% silver coated aluminium tube surface is coated with PVD, a UV inhibitor to provide durability with no decrease in its reflective properties. A brushed nylon gasket at the top of the tube allows the system to ‘breathe’, preventing condensation from forming.
These products come with a 10 year guarantee against faulty manufacture, and provide a natural light option at an economical price.
